Rescue Procedure

  1. Power off your RetailPlayer device
  2. Connect network cable, make sure the device can reach the Barix update server (http://release.barixupdate.com/) over internet.
  3. Press the RESET button on the front-panel of the device.
  4. While keeping the button pressed, power up the device.
  5. Keep the button pressed constantly (make sure to hold it down properly) for 30s and watch the LED
  6. After ~20s the LED must turn Orange. This confirms the procedure started. Keep the button pressed for 10s more then release.
  7. Wait 5 minutes (the times may vary depending on the internet connection speed available)
    At this point the RetailPlayer will reboot.

The easiest way to check the fix: register the RetailPlayer device on the Portal and watch it connect. LED must turn solid green.
